About LCW Tax Advisory
Who we are
LCW Tax Advisory is an international U.S. tax practice operating through two entities: LCW Tax Advisory (HK) Limited in Hong Kong and LCW Tax Advisory (Canada) Limited in Canada. These entities support our two main areas of work, U.S.–Asia and U.S.–Canada, along with clients in other parts of the world.
Our U.S. tax work is performed under a U.S. Certified Public Accountant license (State of Michigan) and follows U.S. professional standards. Clients work directly with experienced professionals who handle complex tax compliance and planning.
The work we do
International U.S. tax rules are among the most complex the IRS administers, and the penalties for getting them wrong can be significant. Many of the people affected are ordinary families and business owners who simply live or work in more than one country.
That shapes how we work. We scope engagements carefully, explain the position clearly, and prepare each filing to a standard that will hold up under review.
How we work
Our practice is remote-first. Consultations take place by video call in your time zone, documents move through secure channels rather than email attachments, and filings are made electronically wherever the IRS allows. Clients in Hong Kong and Canada also have a locally registered entity behind the engagement.
Where your situation involves more than U.S. tax, such as a Canadian return, a Hong Kong audit, or a legal question, we coordinate with your local advisers rather than replace them.
How We Work
What clients can expect from us
A focused practice
We do not offer bookkeeping, audits, or local tax across many countries. We focus on U.S. tax with an international dimension, and that focus is what allows us to work at depth.
Straightforward advice
We will tell you when a filing is not required, when a lower-cost route is available, and when you do not need us. We apply the same standard to this website: every statement on it is one we can support.
Defined scope and fees
Before an engagement begins, you receive the scope and fee in writing. There are no hidden charges and no surprise invoices for additional complexity.
Plain language
You should understand your own tax position. We explain what we file and why in language a non-specialist can follow, and keep the technical detail in our workpapers.
Work with us
Start with a conversation
Tell us about your situation — where you live, what you own, and what worries you. We will tell you plainly what your US filing obligations look like and how we can help.
